♥ Alexohol Photo Competition!

We've just moved into a big, roomy mainstore, and as you can see, our walls are a little bare!

We're calling this, help us help you!

Are you a photographer and could use some free advertising? Get some shots of your friends wearing Alexohol and we'll hang your picture, with a plaque detailing your information, as well as a landmark & notecard giver. We will also announce each picture that has won via a periodic contest announcement. This announcement will include your lms, notecard, and name.

**Entries will be accepted immediately**

Some basic rules of thumb:

1. We need to see Alexohol clothes, prominently featured in the picture. *Please include a title for the picture*

2. Submit the photo both in world and at alexohol@yahoo.com (make sure you include your sl name in the email)

3. You don't have to have a photostudio, but must include a notecard, w/ contact info & a description of your photo services. You can include prices and picture examples and a LM if you've got a physical photostudio. All photos should be submitted with the name of the model and the photographer a well as the name of the item(s). Remeber, the more Alexohol clothing displayed, the better.

4. There is no time limit on how long it will be hanging, but if selected, you must inform us of all contact/lm updates.

5. Multiple entries are encouraged! Once our available slots are full however, we'll rotate them at our discretion!

6. We'd like both candid and pose shots, some w/ alpha textures, some with background. all styles will be reviewed, but please stop by the mainstore and look at the decor......we want pictures that will fit into our store

7. We reserve the right to accept or not accept any picture at anytime AND, change the rules as we see fit :)

Like Kylie said earlier, this past month or so has been RIDICULOUS! We've gone through so many mistakes and errors in it, that it's been tough to keep our heads straight sometimes. But nonetheless, we're still here making stupid first timer mistakes! Our friends have been keeping us going through it all. I swear I almost had a heart attack when I got the "we're sorry but the sim is closing" IM. If it hadnt been for Kylie's "Alex, calm down right now" Emails, Id have probably been a sobbing mess. I swear, it may only have been a month, but this shop is so close to my heart.

That being said, I've been crazy busy making ANOTHER new line of clothes! We've expanded our Military gear line substantially, and it's available at BOTH the US Military Vets center and of course, at our Mainstore in Vanilla sky. Kylie and I are both extremely excited for this shop, as we both are very close to and supportive of our Military. My RL bf is in the Marine Corps, and Kylie is a Military Brat (please emphasize BRAT). (ed. Note. Kylie would prefer to be known as a Squid Kid. However, I have informed her that always being *wet* does not qualify!) That being said, I'm proud to roll out a few previews of our New Line!



Our first look is our sexy Air Force Bikini! As with most of the new line, this is available in all of the branches of the military!



Secondly, Here's a first look at our Bootie shorts, shown here in the Army version! (Also available in Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy, and Marine Corps versions)




Our popular wrapped tops have now gone military! Here's our Coast Guard Version! (Also available in Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps)




And we've re-vamped our "I Love My.." tops! Here's my favorite, I Love My Marine Tank, because, um, I do Love my Marine! (Also available in I love my Soldier, Sailor, Coastie, and Airman!)




And Lastly, our sexy new top style, the "naughty top" gets a Little Navy influence! (also available in Army, Air Force, Coast Guard and Marine versions!)

WOW! What a 3 weeks it's been!

Hey everyone Kylie here with your Alexohol Fashions update!

It's been almost a month since we opened the first little itty bitty shop and I don't think Alex or I thought we would grow this quickly! From the first shop at Arch Angel, to our first mainstore and then opening Alexohol for Men right beside it, it's been a blur of activity!

With some bad news, sometimes comes good and that was the case last weekend when we found out that our South Beach mainstore location was closing. Alex and I had been discussing finding space for a larger mainstore anyhow because we were rapidly running out of space to showcase the latest and greatest that Alex has been busy creating but were going to hold off for the moment. Our best wishes to Dirk and we're very sorry that South Beach had to close BUT we had a new location up in a matter of a few hours in Vanilla Sky! (ed note: Alex is rolling her eyes at the "we" I was out of town when this all happened)



Alexohol Mainstore

Isn't it awesome!?!?! There are spacious rooms where our separate lines are being showcased: Boys, you'll find Alexohol for Men to the Left on the ground floor. Ladies, our casual and bikini lines to the right! Upstairs we have our midnight mania boards and ladies bridal, military as well as sports!

We're thrilled to have this as our new home! We have plenty of room to grow, more on that later, Alex should be posting an update with all the things she's been busy working on!

But wait! That's not nearly the only place you can get your Alexohol fix! We have 4 other great locations!

First up is our cute kiosk we won to have for 90 days at Lacie Cakes! Lacie Chambers graciously put out a contest for new SL business owners to showcase their original creations and we were very excited to be selected! While you're there? Check out Lacie's store, filled with great jewelry, accessories and more! Many of my friends comment on the awesome necklace I always seem to be wearing and that's where it's from!

Next we have our location at Cheers Erotic Moods Resort. Sorry boys! Ladies only here please! Cheerful Jewell and Virta Rhode have been friends of mine since I started SL and they've created a club, shopping area, romantic spots and residential areas for women only. We're excited to also announce that we'll be sponsoring an upcoming fashion show here, featuring some exclusive items for Cheers! Details once we have them so stay tuned!

Our last and most certainly not least newest location is one very near and dear to both Alex and I as you've read, this is what started it all! Our Men and Women in service to their country! We are very proud to announce our opening of Alexohol at the US Military Veterans Center, where we have our full line of Mens and Womens military wear: Marines, Navy, Army, Air Force and Coast Guard tees, tanks, tops and more. We are also donating 50% of each sale made there back to the US Military Veterans Center. If you, or if someone you know is in the US Armed Forces, this is a must see in Second Life, please stop in and support those who have given and sacrificed so much for our freedom that amongst other things, allows us to have a place like Second Life.

Alexohol Fashions is here!!!!!

So, this blog started out as a fashion blog and sort of diary. But after recent changes in my SL and RLs, its become something more. It has become the blog face of Alexohol Fashions! Recently, I've taken to designing clothes, and making all the shirts I always wished i had in SL but could never find a quality version of. My boyfriend is currently deployed in Afghanistan with the United States Marine Corps, and I have looked up and down, left and right on SL to find any kind of shirt that I can wear. Yes, they have the manly ts, but nothing for us girlies. All I wanted was a "Marine Corps Girlfriend" or "I love my Marine" tshirt. Is that really so hard? And, I'm a real sports girl. I LOVE to scream, yell, cheer, and support my teams, RL AND SL. And I LOVE the jerseys and cheer outfits I've been able to find...but can a girl get a cut college footall tank top of bootie shorts once in a while? Lastly, a close friend has recently married & I was looking for a cute "bachelorette" tee for her party. Sure, we found one or two, but nothing that could be registered as CUTE. So, once again, I recently came onto designing clothes. And Alexohol Fashion's has risen from my frustration. Not only do we have a great line of cute, grafic Tshirts, Tank Tops, Bikinis and Bootie shorts, but we also have all of these with Military, Bachelorette, and Athletic teams. We're planning to expand, and this blog will post previews of items, but come check us out now! We've got a great mainstore in the up and coming Sexy South Beach themed sim, and our store is ready for some loving!

Hey guys, I'm Alex. I'm a shop-oholic, Sl-oholic, and so many other thing-oholics too. I'm not really sure what possessed me to start this blog....mostly because I like to wear pretty things and buy things, and I'm trying to take pretty pictures. So why not do all three? I'm not a fashion expert, I'm not a fashion guru subscribed to every fashionista group there is in SL. I'm just Alex from Ohio....I like to shop on SL, I'm a dancer at Heaven n Hell (Come Visit), & I like to just be with my friends. I really like going to new places in SL, so feel free to send me links to check them out...stores, places, whatever. This will mostly be a fasion blog, but hey, I'll add whatever I want in to spice things up. We'll see I guess. But we'll see...a little bit of here, a little bit of there, and a whole lot of whatever. I'm going to do my best to keep you updated with every little detail about what I'm wearing in pictures, but please forgive me if I mess up or dont have the links!
